Xeroxed copy of the first exact transcript of the conversations between the Apollo 11 astronauts and Houston. Pages 1-18 of the transcript are wanting. Includes a letter from Henry Faul, chairman of the Geology Department at the University of Pennsylvania, to Rudolph Hirsch, Associate Director of Van Pelt Library, offering the document to the Library's collection.

Apollo 11 was the fifth human spaceflight of the Apollo program, the third human voyage to the moon, and the first manned mission to land on the Moon. It launched on July 16, 1969 carrying Commander Neil Armstrong, Command Module Pilot Michael Collins, and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin 'Buzz' Aldrin.
